CAREWATCH ELDERLY CARE SERVICES
Carewatch provides over 8.5 million hours of care every year to people in their own homes or supported living environments throughout the UK - our first priority is always the timely provision of support to service users, using established systems to ensure regular staff visits and support.
We provide a range of care and support including:
Practical support including befriending, companionship, light domestic tasks, shopping, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, assistance with visits outside the home (doctors appointments, social visits etc.
Personal care including bathing, dressing, medication assistance, toileting and continence care, and 'sleep ins'.
Specialised Care including hospital discharge, acquired brain injury, working with other organisations, e.g. Marie Curie nurses, end-of-life care, and many other unique situations.
Carewatch is committed to providing services which are of the highest quality, and which meet the identified needs of service users in ways they prefer. Our approach is person-centred and we are developing systems which focus on outcomes for service users, how they are monitored and how we can support people who wish to access individualised funding.
SUPPORTING PEOPLE TO BE AS INDEPENDENT AS POSSIBLE
Carewatch services are focused on supporting people to be as independent as they possibly can, whilst remaining in their own homes and communities and ensuring all their health and social care needs are appropriately met.
The Government papers 'Our health, our care, our say', 'Nothing about us without us', and 'Independence, well-being and choice', emphasise the importance of user involvement. The Regulations and National Minimum Standards, underpinning the delivery of regulated care services require providers to involve and consult with service users about their care/support plans and to make sure they are able to make choices about the service they receive.
CAREWATCH BELIEVES IN:
- Improved health and emotional well being
- Improved quality of life
- Making a positive contribution
- Choice and control
- Freedom from discrimination
- Economic well being
- Personal dignity
